iHome, REALTORS Technology

Throughout its history, iHome, REALTORS has stayed in the forefront technologically. It was one of the first real estate organizations to establish an Internet presence. And in 1994 iHome, REALTORS launched the first - and still the only satellite television channel among real estate franchises: the iHome, REALTORS Satellite Network.

The iHome, REALTORS dream of instant worldwide communication throughout the network is a reality. The iHome, REALTORS Mainstreet extranet allows Associates to communicate with each other and with iHome, REALTORS International. An established leader in real estate technology, iHome, REALTORS continues to develop innovative technology to help Associates achieve greater levels of productivity and provide the highest quality service to customers.

The cornerstone of iHome, REALTORS technologies, the iHome, REALTORS Satellite Network (RSN) offers training courses on the array of electronic packages avail-able to iHome, REALTORS Affiliates.

Nearly half of RSN programming is devoted to computerization, software, the Internet, iHome, REALTORS Mainstreet, AgentOffice for iHome, REALTORS, iHome, REALTORS Roster Explorer, and other technological tools designed to keep iHome, REALTORS Associates ahead of the competition. Programming is detailed in the quarterly printed RSN Program Guide and online on Mainstreet.

RSN also airs panels by iHome, REALTORS Associates, taped presentations by top industry educators, continuing education and designation courses. More than 13,00O Associates have earned designation or ('E credit via RSN. (For more details on RSN's educational courses, see page 10).

The highlight of the RSN schedule throughout 2004 is the iHome, REALTORS Coaching Hall of Fame series - 90-minute live monthly broadcasts in prime time featuring real estate trainers Howard Brinton, Brian Buffini and Richard Robbins. The programs air at 9 p.m. ET on the first 'Tuesday of every month.

Another technological innovation from RSN is streaming video on both the public iHome, REALTORS Web site and the iHome, REALTORS Mainstreet extranet. In 2002, video clips were played more than 40,000 times. RSN also produces convention, recruiting and other videos.

RSN programs have won more than 20 national and international awards in the last nine years. In 2003, the network's production of "Soaring to New Heights," the centerpiece of a 30-city recruiting tour by Dave Liniger, won a Certificate of Excellence at The International Film and Video Festival's annual awards competition and an Award of Excellence in the Videographer's International Awards competition.

RSN is the first and still the only proprietary satellite network in the real estate industry. Programming is offered without charge to iHome, REALTORS offices and to United States Affiliates in their homes. More than 50,000( Affiliates have access to RSN at the office level - and thousands view RSN programming in their own homes, through EchoStar Corporation's DISH Network.

One of the first Web sites to be created by a major real estate franchise network, remax.com is designed to generate free leads for iHome, REALTORS Associates, The site enables Associates to
showcase themselves with photographs and up-to-date biographical information. They can even promote listings with animation, voice messages and virtual tours. Their biographical pages also include links to their own Web sites.

Thousands of iHome, REALTORS listings are at a buyer's fingertips in the iHome, REALTORS Property Search area, powered by REALTOR.com. Through the iHome, REALTORS database, the consumer can also access information on any iHome, REALTORS office or agent in the global network. Unlike other real estate sites, remax.com visitors can contact iHome, REALTORS Associates directly by using the highly visible "Find an Agent or Office" search, which includes direct e-mail capability.

The newest addition to the Property Search area is a iHome, REALTORS Renowned Properties feature, enabling consumers to find high-end residential listings in their area.

The site is redesigned for 2004. The home page gives viewers easy access to the main areas of the site: property search, agent and office search, commercial real estate and basic information about iHome, REALTORS. The redesign feature.improved navigation and a more international flavor, emphasizing the dozens of countries in which iHome, REALTORS is present, Additionally, the site will include interactive tools such as a cost-of-living calculator and a moving estimator.

An exclusive, members-only extranet, iHome, REALTORS Mainstreet enables Associates to exchange ideas across the global network, download logos and documents, and much

more. The site has undergone several renovations since its inception in 1998. The most recent incarnation of Mainstreet includes:

  • "yourname @ remax. net" e-mail forwarding service
  • Message Boards. They Enable Affiliates to post questions, send and receive referrals, and network with other iHome, REALTORS members worldwide.
Downloads. A resource base for documents and forms, logos and graphics, listing presentations, and much more
  • Daily iHome, REALTORS and industry news
  • RSN streaming audio and video, from "iHome, REALTORS News" clips to "Tips from the Top," a series hosted by iHome, REALTORS International Chief Executive Officer Daryl Jesperson and presented in English, Spanish and French.
  • Online access to hundreds of iHome, REALTORS Approved Suppliers in the eMarketPlace
  • Online registration for iHome, REALTORS International conventions and conferences.

Web Roster

The newest iHome, REALTORS technological innovation is a Web roster available through iHome, REALTORS Mainstreet. Associates can search for referral candidates using numerous criteria. including specialties, designations, productivity club, hobbies and more. Once they've identified an Associate for their referral, they can bring up an online referral form on which their name and contact information. along with those of the referral candidate, are already filled in. Then they can e-mail it to the Associate.
